The Band at our most recent job last Sunday. We have been busy behind the scenes with our junior band and have taken a well earned rest for the summer and will re group in September. If there are any brass players looking for a friendly band that has a cuppa at half time and would like to encourage the new generation of bandies…. Get in touch
The band is pleased to announce that our Free Learner program was so successful last time around that we will again be starting a new Learner Workshop from January 2025
Our learners are doing really well and it was great to see so many of them now playing in the main band.
Happy New Year. We hope you all had a lovely break. It’s back to normal this week. We resume our learner lessons and normal rehearsals this Wednesday. Any players wishing to have a blow, or looking for a new band to join would be made most welcome. Please message us throught our website, email or Facebook page.

Last night was the second rehearsal with our junior band. They are making great improvements week after week and our newbies are doing extremely well to. Last night a festive tune or two may have made an appearance ready for the upcoming season.
Our new intake of learners are coming along nicely and our established learners have come a long way, so much so they are starting to integrate with the main band which is amazing. This is all thanks to funding from the Coalfield regeneration project. We still have a few spaces for people wishing to learn a brass instrument. If you would like to take this up please get in touch.
After an excellent start with our learner band they are now ready to move up and we are now looking to start an intake of newbies looking to learn an instrument / start again after a long break. We will commence lessons again in September after the summer holidays. This is all thanks to funding, the use of a new hall and dedication from members of the band.
